Sam the Expert’s Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using this website and the services offered by Sam the Local Limited (parent company to Sam the Expert).

Cancellation Policy

If the confirmed experience is cancelled by the guest 72 hours or more before the start of the experience, a full refund will be issued. If the confirmed experience is cancelled by the guest less than 72 hours before the start of the experience, no refund will be given and the guest is responsible for the fee of the experience.


For the safety of our users, if a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or Black Rain Signal is in full effect during the start time of the Experience or is expected to be issued any time during the Outing by the Hong Kong Observatory, the Guest Experience/Concierge Team and guests will be notified accordingly. In the instance of a cancellation of the scheduled Experience due to weather, the best effort is made to reschedule the Experience.

If the Experience cannot be rescheduled, a full refund will be issued to the guest.

If there are any other outside factors that may cause a cancellation, the guest should notify Sam the Local Limited immediately.


Sam the Local Limited will offer Accidental Death and Disablement Insurance and Personal Accident Insurance for guests. The coverage will be for up to HK$100,000/person for Accidental Death and Disablement, and up to HK$2000 for minor injuries from the arrival at the destination of the experience to the end of the experience (eg arrival at Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner’s office). The full policy can be provided on request.
